In the latest Kantar Emor ratings, Isamaa remains the most popular party in Estonia with 26 percent support among those surveyed. This is down by one percentage point from December, however. The second most popular party is still the Reform Party with 16 percent, though they also saw a slight fall in support. The Social Democratic Party (SDE) and EKRE both managed to slightly increase their support over the past month, reaching 16 and 14 percent respectively.

Estonia's two largest cities are joining an overwhelming majority of the country's smaller local governments in passing up the education agreement. According to Tartu Deputy Mayor for Education Lemmit Kaplinski (SDE), it would be irresponsible to take on obligations without additional funding. Import vehicle inspections surge ahead of Estonia's new car tax

Pre-purchase inspections ensure that imported vehicles meet the required standards in Estonia. Typically, the Transport Administration conducts some 600 such inspections a week, but the looming car tax has pushed that number up to nearly 900. "We'll definitely continue next week with opening weekdays at 8 a.m. and processing documents from accredited car dealers an hour past close at seven [of our] offices," confirmed Joel Jesse, director of the administration's Traffic Division.
