Rights group Amnesty International has called on Senegaleseauthorities to carry out independent investigations into the deadly violenceduring protests last week, saying at least 23 people died. The death toll by Amnesty is higher than the official numberof 16 announced by the government. The rights group says three children were among 23 killed.
