By Victoria Garcia The Austin Police Department detectives are responding to reports of a dead person in east Austin Friday morning. APD posted on social media around 11:10 a.m. saying this was happening at Lovell Drive near Manor Road. Austin Police say they have a Public Information Officer headed to the scene. Police are expected to provide a media briefing at some point. CBS Austin has a crew headed to the scene.

By Victoria Garcia The Austin Police Department are on scene of a gas leak in northwest Austin Thursday afternoon which is leading to some road closures in the area. Police posted on social media around 11:40 a.m. saying officers were assisting with the gas leak in the area of South Lakeline Boulevard and Ridgeline Boulevard. Roads are expected to be to be shut down for an extended period of time. Police are asking people to plan their route accordingly and expect delays.

The Austin Police Department is investigating a homicide in north Austin Saturday morning. Officers responded at around 4:40 a.m. to 9-1-1 calls reporting a man was lying on the ground on North Lamar Blvd. near West Parmer Lane. Responding officers arrived on scene shortly after and found a man with "obvious signs of trauma." APD along with Austin-Travis County EMS medics performed life-saving measures.

Austin-Travis County EMS says they responded to reports of a person with a gunshot wound around 3 a.m. on Harrisglenn Drive near E Howard Lane. ALSO | Juvenile arrested in fatal shooting of 16-year-old in South Austin neighborhood When medics arrived on scene, they found an adult in cardiac arrest.

A person who was reported missing in Lady Bird Lake Thursday morning has been found dead, according to authorities. The Austin Fire Department initially posted on social media around 8:40 a.m. saying crews were responding to a water rescue on Congress Avenue near West Cesar Chavez Street. By 9 a.m., multiple units were searching the water for the missing individual.
