StudyNetZero seeks to connect students with universities, business schools and high schools that are “actively tackling” climate change. According to those behind the project, the launch comes at a time when prospective students are increasingly viewing sustainability practices with more importance. “[Today’s generation is] looking for universities that share their values and are actively working towards a sustainable future,” said Sebastian Fernandes, founder of StudyNetZero.

Prosecutors allege that Study Across the Pond LLC has “knowingly caused” UK schools to submit false claims to the Department of Education for federal student aid. They say that the company, and its principal, John Borhaug, have demanded the schools to enter into arrangements that violated the federal ban on incentive-based compensation.

Speaking with The PIE News and featured in this week’s 5 Mins… interview, founder & president of EdOdyssey, Peter McGovern, revealed that one of its partners had seen tuition revenues soar due to student interest in its study abroad program. “A university that we’re working with spends about $200,000 in admin costs each fall as an investment in their freshman cohort that goes abroad,” he told The PIE.

During my undergrad, I was studying abroad in Lima and my previous high school was bringing students to Peru and contracted me to design a study abroad program for them. I was the translator, ran it, and for me, that was really special.

The test has not been accepted since July 26, 2023, when ETS launched a new version of the test which authorities then had to review. From May 5, TOEFL iBT scores from secure test centres have been accepted by the Australian Department of Home Affairs. Other tests the department accepts includes IELTS, including One Skill Retake, Pearson Test of English, Cambridge English/ C1 Advanced and the Occupational English Test for health professionals.
