She has made history as she is the first person with links to Fiji to be appointed as USA Netball's board of trustee. Daugunu currently holds two key positions. She is the USA Netball Flying Eagles Assistant Manager where she assists in managing the team's logistics, communications, and player development.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad has warmly welcomed the recent announcement by the Government of New Zealand to ease visa restrictions for Pacific Islanders. Prof. Prasad says the new provisions — allowing multiple entries and longer-term stays over a two-year period — represent a hugely positive step forward. The Deputy Prime says this decision acknowledges the reality that most Pacific Islander travel to New Zealand is centred around family connections.

The Constitutional Offices Commission will establish a tribunal to investigate allegations of misbehaviour against the suspended Commissioner of the Fiji Corrections Service Dr Jalesi Nakarawa. Dr Nakarawa remains suspended; however, he was cleared by FICAC of any wrongdoing in the appointment of his wife to the position of Nurse Practitioner within the Fiji Corrections Service.

Shailendra Raju, who was a campaigner for the People’s Alliance in the 2022 general elections and also a former executive of the Fiji Labour Party and former Private Secretary of the late former Prime Minister Laisenia Qarase, has filed a complaint with the Registrar of Political Parties. Raju had said in a facebook post that one fella while discussing political funding is caught telling the potential donor who is foreigner that no receipts will be issued to her.
