When the Volvo EX60 arrives next year, it will debut a “major improvement” to one of motoring’s oldest and simplest safety measures. Once again, the Swedish carmaker has sought to improve the humble seat belt, and this time, it’s got sensors.
Lots of sensors, each one feeding back real-time traffic and situational data into the EX60’s brain so that it can better distribute the load of the belt – adapting it to an individual – in the unfortunate event of an accident.

Well, if it ain’t broke and all that. With that, a series of updates to its all-conquering and quietly excellent Land Rover Defender, chief among which are a new set of head and tail lights.
The front ones apparently feature new “signature detailing” and fog lights as standard, while the rears are flush with smoked lenses.

BMW has given its baby M car a helluva lot of horsepower. Meet the brand-new—and not-really-a-baby-anymore—BMW M2 CS, a two-door, rear-wheel-drive German sports coupe with 526hp. Five hundred and twenty-six!
That’s 82hp more than the old M2 CS, a car that precisely nobody got out of thinking, “Hmm, bit underpowered, that, could use a little more wahey.” And boy, is there plenty of wahey.
