We are a publication about books. We accept book reviews, ramblings, recommendations and stories about authors and writing. And no — this isn’t going to be about the moneyI hate to say it. But the adults were right. One day you blink and suddenly five years seem to pass by so quickly you’ve barely paused for breath. This is what it has felt like with my writing journey. I began blogging during the first Covid-19 lockdown in the UK, and haven’t looked back since.

Surviving another week feels insignificant compared to the next few decades of work ahead, here’s how to reclaim your time. I will be 68 years old before I’m entitled to receive my state pension. With the way things are going in the UK, I expect that to increase at least by a few years between then and now. But this means I’ve got at least forty years left of working before I can officially retire.

And no this isn’t clickbaitEvery once in a while you come across a book which stops you in your tracks. It pulls you out of the slumber of everyday life and shakes you from head to toe. I read a lot of books — you may have noticed that if you have been following me for a while. But finding books that have this much of an impact is still a constant struggle, and not necessarily one I always want to take when reading.
