1. IntroductionRecent advancements in Earth observation sensors, such as improvements in temporal, spectral, spatial and radiometric resolution, combined with the accessibility of Geo Big Data resources, such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing and web applications, have significantly improved the capacity to gain valuable insights into environmental applied science. These technological advancements have made multi-source remote sensing (MSRS) practical for Earth monitoring tasks.
