A person is in the hospital after a house fire broke out in Schenectady. The fire started just after midnight on Thursday, according to the Schenectady Fire Department. Firefighters said three people were inside the home AT 1119 Ardsley Rd. when the fire broke out. They were all able to get out of the building. One person was taken to Albany Med. The fire department said the first and second floor of the home were damaged.

A man is facing several charges in Watervliet after being arrested more than a dozen times in the past three months. The Watervliet Police Department say they arrested Carlos Nieves, 32, on December 7 after he stole several items from the Price Chopper on 19th Street. Nieves also allegedly resisted arrest and injured an officer in the process. Police say Nieves has been involved in 10 larcenies from this store, which totals to $1,500 in stolen property.

The Albany Police Department is currently looking for a teen who has a history with mental health issues and autism. Adrian Macduff, 15, was last seen on Monday around 2:30 p.m. in the area of 60 Academy Road. Macduff is 6 feet tall, has brown hair, brown eyes and weighs 112 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, red & brown sneakers and a red backpack. A car crash that sent two people to the hospital in Argyle is under investigation. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said police responded to the two vehicle accident on Monday. Investigators were able to determine that driver of the Chevrolet HHR was traveling south on State Route 40, while the driver of the Kia Forte was driving northbound. The Chevrolet made a sharp turn into the northbound lane, crashing into the passenger side of the Kia.

An evacuation is underway in Duanesburg after an accident on I-88. State Police said a commercial vehicle crashed just after 3 a.m. Tuesday morning between Exit 24 and Exit 25. This caused the closure of both the eastbound and westbound lanes. Governor Kathy Hochul released a statement about the evacuation, stating that this is being done “out of an abundance of caution”, as this accident may have lead to a natural gas leak.
