Extremely wet start to the work-week across South Florida with some much needed rainfall. A front is expected to crawl Eastward not completely clearing Southeast Florida until Tuesday night, so count on repeated rounds of heavy downpours. Flooding potential is high. A FLOOD WATCH is in effect for South Florida (mainland) through Tuesday Morning. Periods of steady moderate to heavy rainfall are expected.

South Florida expect another warm and quiet day with dry air filtering in. The deepest moisture for rain has shifted North with a weak front. Therefore, look for mostly dry conditions and highs in the mid to upper 80’s. The pattern starts to gradually change over the weekend with another upper-level low (disturbance high in the sky) and front that will be drawing a plume of moisture from the tropics.

South Florida we remain in a drought and rain has been hard to come by. However, today there is a chance of seeing isolated to scattered showers mid-morning through the afternoon with a front that will gradually fade moving through the region. Another area of high pressure is forecast to gain control of our weather pattern by tomorrow and that will mean winds get gusty with mainly dry conditions persisting all week long. Temperatures are expected to remain steady through the weekend.

South Florida the weekend was sunny, mainly dry and warm and the start of the week is featuring more of the same. However, there will be some changes for Tuesday as a weak front moves in. This front will actually bring us the best chance out of the entire week to see some useful showers. Look for these showers to be isolated to scattered happening between 8am to 1pm and then drier air filters in once again.

The forecast calls for distant high pressure to remain in control helping for dry air to filter into the region. However, heading into tomorrow we will be following a bank of moisture located near Puerto Rico that will be moving into the Bahamas. As winds are set to increase and become gusty once again, we could see a few isolated showers sneak into Southern areas like the Florida Keys and Straits. By the weekend, drier air flows into South Florida making for sunny and warmer conditions.

A front lifted farther to the North allowing drier to return with high pressure in firm control in the Western Atlantic. Look for toasty highs in the mid to upper 80's with mainly dry conditions. However, we are expecting changes. Get the details on Today in #Florida. @wsvn #flwx https://t.co/MfNq1yHu06
