Their aim is for this air route between the capital of Cantabria and Granada that only operates during the summer to be extended all year round. In other words, they want to increse the 26 flights now available during July and August to a total of 120 throughout the year with two flights a week (that’s probably one each way). Councillor Omiste says that prices have risen 11% in relation to last year and a whopping 75% in the last decade. She considers that this increase is directly related to the proliferation of tourist accommodation, especially in the Playa Granada area; something that severely limits the existence of long-term rentals.
