INTRODUCTION Peer mentor programs are critical to student success and retention but often lack a cohesive and powerful training framework. Within the University of Cincinnati's College of Cooperative Education and Professional Studies (CCPS), a Peer Mentor Program was created in 2020 to foster student sense of belonging and connectedness, as well as close preparation gaps within a mandatory cooperative education (co-op) program.
