Many Manitobans grew up watching Reggie Leach play hockey. A member of Berens River First Nation, Reggie is a Manitoba hockey hero whose life and achievements have inspired many Manitobans. Winnipeg singer/songwriter John K. Samson grew up watching Reggie play and later wrote a song calling on Reggie Leach to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. This June, our Manitoba NDP team stood up in the Legislature to do the same, by passing a motion calling on Mr. Leach to be inducted.
