He said Nigeria would be in a far worse state without the unrelenting intercession of its citizens. The National Emergency Management Agency says it has deployed its officials in 15 high-risk states to further enlighten residents on the impending floods and the need to relocate from flood-prone areas, saying victims of the tragedy in Mokwa, Niger State lived in gully areas and were caught unawares by the recent flooding disaster in the state despite official warnings.

Rome Business School Nigeria has proposed a partnership with the Lagos State Government to provide postgraduate and executive education scholarships for between 200 and 250 residents of the state. The joint scholarship scheme, estimated at over N500m, is expected to take off in October 2025. The proposal was presented during a courtesy visit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu by a delegation from the international business school led by its Founder and Dean, Prof. Antonio Ragusa.
