SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Marie Widman Memorial Park, located in the heart of Encanto's Black Arts and Culture District, is traditionally a place for community gatherings and celebrations. However, on an ordinary day, there are often no families or children playing in the park, and many in the community feel it has been neglected. The aim of the "Missing Pieces" Project is to ensure that the legacies of Black San Diegans are preserved and not forgotten.
