The bill to amend the PICA Act was presented in the National Assembly yesterday. PICA Act Amendment Bill 2025 was presented by Federal Law Minister Nazir Tarar. The 18-page Prevention of Electronic Crimes (Amendment) Act 2025 draft proposes to establish Digital Rights Protection Authority under the proposed amendment. DRPA will be the authority to remove online content. Proposed amendmentAuthority shall be authorized to access any prohibited or obscene material.
