PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — It's been 19 years since Cindy Moffett was murdered while working at a golf club, and the case remains unsolved. During a furious storm in 2006, Moffett was killed while working at a golf club located on Lucerne Lakes Boulevard off of Lake Worth Road. Detectives with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office tell WPTV morning anchor Ashley Glass it was a robbery gone wrong where as many as three people burst into the golf club and shot Moffett.

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Those experiencing homelessness, or are at imminent risk of homelessness, in Port St. Lucie could be eligible to receive some much needed help. The city of Port St. Lucie said it reopened the application process Friday morning for eligible individuals. The city said grant funds will be used to provide emergency rental assistance through the Emergency Rental Assistance 2 Rapid-Rehousing Program.

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. — A judge on the Treasure Coast slammed Sheriff Keith Pearson’s latest social media posts during a hearing to consider a gag order on his future social media content. Tuesday, Circuit Judge Michael Heisey heard arguments from Attorney Ashley Minton seeking a gag order after her client was featured in a weekly segment the sheriff calls “Turn Yourself in Tuesday.” Minton says the posts threaten her client’s chance to have a fair and free trial.
