Hello Friends,I spent a large portion of my youth walking through the woods and pretending to be Indiana Jones. The energy of his adventures was on my mind whether I thought about him deliberately or not. In the 80s, we used to sit in front of flickering VHS images on tube screen televisions. The colors were washed out when compared to the cinema, but that didn't matter. The majority of the entertainment took place in our imaginations anyway. Indiana Jones hates nazis. He says as much.

Getting on the school bus felt like entering a cave populated with vicious monsters. To this day I believe that many of them weren’t human. Their cruelty knew no limits. I tried to focus on the rivets in the ceiling. The shadows dulled the vibrant colors of our clothing making everything uniform and gray. I tried to put my mind elsewhere. I tried to imagine a fantasy world that welcomed rainbows. On the school bus, hope and childhood innocence died on the vine. The seats were green like moss.

Imagine if every time there was a mass shooting, the parents of the victims were allowed to go on the news and address the nation for an hour. I want an open feed. I want no censorship. I want no “journalists” clogging or redirecting the conversation. Just let the parents speak. Let them share their truth. Let them share their pain in public where the nation can’t ignore it. Maybe then the voting public would be sufficiently informed. Maybe then they’d stop making such ignorant decisions.
