XI'AN, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Ma Ying-jeou, former chairman of the Chinese Kuomintang party, on Saturday visited the Xi'an branch of the China National Archives of Publications and Culture, which is located in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province. Liu Chengyong, director of the China National Archives of Publications and Culture, introduced the selected collections of the archives to Ma during his trip.

Plus de 400 Chinois, dont des Chinois de l'étranger, ont assisté jeudi à une cérémonie dans la province chinoise du Shaanxi (nord-ouest) pour rendre hommage à Huangdi, aussi connu sous le nom de l'Empereur jaune. La cérémonie se tient traditionnellement le jour de Qingming, ou Journée de nettoyage des tombes, qui tombe jeudi cette année. Les Chinois rendent alors hommage à leurs proches défunts et pratiquent le culte de leurs ancêtres.
