It's also a time when sports commentators can find their voices attached to viral moments, hoping they'll be the soundtrack to a moment in history.

So, a bit later than usual with this one but it will be worth the wait!March was yet another busy month for me at BBC Essex Sport, with six games to commentate. The main difference to February, though, was the fact that only one of these games was at Roots Hall. I've just done the maths and I clocked up nearly 1,400 miles travelling around the country to Yeovil Town, Forest Green Rovers, Eastleigh and Boston United.

So, the headline says it all this month!After a week off at the end of January, it was straight back into the mix with five Southend United games to cover for BBC Essex Sport across 15 days. Before this, though, I had some brilliant commentary training with Rob Nothman. Funnily enough, I have had feedback from Rob before when I started pursuing commentary around my full-time job in 2019.
