It’s time we allow teams to trade players without consent in AFL football. As an ex-player who played his entire career without free agency, and felt the full force of club power over player power era, it’s pleasing to see the players have a greater say on their careers. But right now, the pendulum has swung too far in the way of player power, and it needs to be evened out. Don’t get me wrong, players deserve a significant say in their career direction.
