As a longtime Canon user, it was a somewhat painful switch to buy a Sony ZV-1 as my point-and-shoot camera. Not because the Sony ZV-1 was a bad camera, but more so because the way that brand's cameras work is so different from what I'm used to. So what's it like the other way around with the Canon PowerShot V10? Filmmaker and YouTuber Brian Catalano answers that question.

Buried in Nintendo's Switch 2 announcement during Nintendo Direct earlier in the week was a quiet accessory that brings Nintendo back into the camera game. Sort of. Nintendo's new camera, which is simply called "Nintendo Switch 2 Camera," is more designed for the system's new game chat feature, which places little video conference-like boxes along the bottom of the screen and uses the camera to capture a face for that box, but it seems like there's a lot more potential here.

When I was growing up, Nintendo's Game Boy was all the rage. I never did quite understand the appeal then of its Game Boy Camera accessory, a camera that plugged into the cartridge slot to make .014-megapixel black and white images, but the accessory itself has become somewhat of a cult hit. Tech YouTuber Becca Farsace revived the odd camera for a look on her YouTube channel, though with a (slightly) modern twist: a custom-made camera and lens mount as well as a USB-C hookup.

The first eyeglasses were made in the 13th century, Braille and wheelchairs emerged in the 19th century, and hearing aids early in the 20th.

I mean, if this isn't a great use of AI for filmmaking, I don't know what is.

The power of AI has allowed me to bring you the Trump Harris debate one night early, or at least Trump's top secret strategy to win. https://t.co/Qz5aNxVvUV

I have said it for years and I’ll say it again: stop saying things are “sexually and racially charged.” The things Donald Trump says are sexist and racist, full stop. I’m aware that @nytimes doesn’t follow AP style, but AP has also come to the same conclusion about “charged.” https://t.co/Vkai75wDPK
