Source: CNBCThe co-CEO of Samsung Electronics died Tuesday of a heart attack, multiple media outlets including CNBC reported. Han Jong-Hee, 63, was vice chairman and initially sole CEO of the consumer-electronics giant beginning in 2022. He spent three decades at Samsung and oversaw businesses ranging from home appliances and TVs to smartphones. Samsung appointed a co-CEO, Jun Young-Huyn, in November. The company told CNBC that Jun will now become sole CEO.

Last year, Apple CEO Tim Cook had questions about several pricey movie deals executives of Apple TV+, the company’s video-streaming service, had been striking, including for “Argylle,” a spy action-comedy starring Henry Cavill and Dua Lipa. The movie, which cost $200 million to produce, hadn’t found much of an audience or generated more subscribers for the service, Cook told his colleagues, according to a former Apple TV+ employee.

Source: The InformationFoxconn, the Taiwanese manufacturer that makes most of the world’s iPhones, said its net profit in the fourth quarter of 2024 fell 13% year on year. It was the first decline in Foxconn’s quarterly earnings since the second quarter of 2023, when net profit slipped 0.9%. The decline in Foxconn’s fourth-quarter earnings to around $77 billion comes amid slowing sales of the iPhone, which fell about 1% on year in the quarter ending Dec.
