New parental leave scheme will be phased in through 2026 At the National Day Rally Speech on 18 August 2024, the Singapore Prime Minister announced that Singapore will enhance its paternity leave and shared parental leave schemes and introduce temporary financial support for involuntarily unemployed individuals. These policy changes will take effect from 1 April 2025.
