Triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-2 (TREM2), which is expressed on the surface of tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs), has been found to play a major role in the diagnosis and treatment of tumors. TREM2 expression is significantly upregulated in tumor tissues, and therefore, targeting TREM2 for tumor imaging may be of value.
