Advances and Perspectives in Phototherapy-based Combination Therapy for Cancer Treatment Phototherapy, along with photothermal therapy (PTT) and photodynamic therapy (PDT), is strengthened by spatiotemporal selectivity, non-invasive, and negligible drug resistance. Phototherapy has been approved for treating superficial epidermal tumors. However, its therapeutic effect is restricted due to the hypoxic tumor microenvironment and the highly expressed heat shock protein.

1. Introduction Atlantoaxial dislocation (AAD) was a potentially fatal pathological condition derived from various etiologies (1). In recent years, sagittal balance of the cervical spine has aroused increasing attention (2). Indeed, the upper and lower cervical spine have a reciprocal relationship in natural or pathological conditions (3–5). Under the circumstances, the coexistence of AAD and cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM) may be an underestimated disorder.
