On July 20, the streets of Halifax came alive with a vibrant display of rainbow colors as the annual Halifax Pride Parade took center stage. Among the diverse groups participating, Dalhousie University's contingent embodied the institution's commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse community. The event saw participation from various Dalhousie departments, student groups, and allies, all united under the banner of inclusion and respect.

Dalhousie and the Immigrant Services Association of Nova Scotia (ISANS) have a long-standing partnership focused on community support and newcomer integration. This bond was celebrated and strengthened at the “Education Empowers” fundraiser held in late June in the atrium of Dal’s Mona Campbell Building. The gathering highlighted the importance of community support and the transformative power of education and empowerment.
