One of Masuk's only seven losses over the past seven seasons came against Brookfield during the 2025 regular season. When the two teams met again in the SWC championship, ace Julia Bacoulis was determined to avenge that loss. Bacoulis threw a 10-inning shutout, allowing two hits and three walks while striking out 15. She also scored the only run of the 1-0 game on a squeeze bunt by Alyssa Castillo, who was celebrating her birthday.

Masuk defeated Brookfield 10-0 in the Class L championship to kick off the streak and wrap up an undefeated season. Masuk pitcher Samantha Schiebe (currently an assistant coach) threw a two-hitter and struck out 14. Megan McFarland hit two triples in the game, as she and Schiebe shared MVP honors. (Fun Fact: The opposing pitcher was current Brookfield coach Alyssa Lionetti, whose 2025 Brookfield squad handed Masuk its only loss of the season).

The 2025 season marked another year in the long-standing Masuk dynasty, as the Panthers won a seventh straight CIAC Class L softball championship and finished as the No. 1 team in the state for a second year in a row (and for the sixth time in the last seven seasons). Masuk received nine of the 15 first-place votes while Class M champion Foran, the only undefeated team in Connecticut this year, received the other six first-place votes and finished just six points behind Masuk.
