Leeds United’s 6-0 win over Stoke City allowed Daniel Farke the freedom to be flexible with his late substitutions and he handed 16-year-old Harry Gray his full professional debut. Not many saw such a result on the horizon. All the pressure was on Leeds to secure a win and make it difficult for Sheffield United later on in the day, when Chris Wilder’s side went to Burnley needing a win. Stoke meanwhile, came into the game after pretty much securing Championship safety.

It is hard to find a Leeds United player that has played particularly poorly this season, with arguments made even for those not producing the form they are capable of. Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu, Ao Tanaka, Joe Rothwell, Dan James, Manor Solomon and more could argue they are in the best form of their careers under the guidance of Daniel Farke as Leeds boss. In terms of players that are struggling, Illan Meslier has been dropped but he has still kept 21 clean sheets this season.

The goalkeeper department at Leeds United is set to change this summer with Illan Meslier’s future at Elland Road likely to come to an end, and a new stopper will be brought in. Daniel Farke is considering Meslier’s future at Leeds with the Frenchman a target for both Stade Rennais and Leicester City. Liam Rosenior is also considering a move for Meslier at Strasbourg come the summer.
