Just as the Nintendo Switch launched with the Switch Pro Controller to use in lieu of its detachable Joy-Con, the Switch 2 launches with the Switch 2 Pro Controller. Like the Switch 2 to the Switch, the $84.99 Switch 2 Pro Controller is a solid upgrade over its predecessor, with a higher price to match (the original Switch Pro is $69.99).

The XReal One elevated the category of AR smart glasses at the beginning of this year with motion tracking and a built-in interface, and the company is taking things further with the XReal One Pro. This step-up model has all of the same features as its slightly older sibling, but with a new micro-OLED projection system that displays the widest field of view I’ve seen in this category.

I wasn’t impressed by Sony’s ambitious 5.0.2-channel Bravia Theater Bar 9 due to its high price and very weak bass, chalked up to its lack of a subwoofer. The 3.1.2-channel Bravia Theater Bar 6 soundbar ($649.99) addresses both of these issues, shipping with a wireless subwoofer for less than half the price. It’s certainly a better buy than the Theater Bar 9, but it still doesn’t manage to hit the ultra-low frequencies needed for palpable, wall-shaking sound.

They have a wide field of view with sharp resolution, though they are only average when it comes to generating brightness and audio. We find them to fit comfortably, but they lack adjustable diopters for those who are nearsighted. The rear-mounted USB port allows them to easily connect to most source devices.

As a Nintendo Switch reviewer and home theater expert, I know how to optimize your television connections and settings to make your Switch 2 games look their absolute best. The Switch 2 is Nintendo’s most powerful game system yet, and the first capable of running games at 4K resolution and in high dynamic range (HDR).
