Police arrested Alexander Alton McDavid from Waco, TX, on April 3 this year, 2025, accusing him of elderly abuse among other charges after he allegedly spilled hot soup on his 67-year-old girlfriend, scalding her with third-degree burns on her shoulder and forearm. The woman, who has not been named in the press, reportedly told the police that McDavid, 35, had choked her before, but she never contacted the authorities.

Two Southern California teenage girls are in custody after one of the girl’s adopted mom was found dead at a Utah vacation rental from more than a dozen stab wounds. The woman’s daughter, Mihaela Gabriela Sorescu, reportedly wrote in her diary she hated her mom and wanted to kill her. Andreea Mottram, a 47-year-old woman, was found deceased on March 23, 2025, in a vacation rental home in Washington City, Utah. The cleaning staff discovered her body in an upstairs bedroom.

Two British men are serving life sentences for the brutal murder of one of the man’s friends, planned over Snapchat. According to the U.K. Metropolitan Police, the two men decided to stand and kill their friend over a perceived betrayal involving a firearm. According to U.K. Police, the incident happened in May 2023. Williams and Kai Nelson-Palmer lured the victim, Lucas Sutton, a 22-year-old father from Croydon, UK, to an address and then killed him.
