Justin Browning, Career and Technical Education and Innovation coordinator for Barren County Schools, said this new pathway will go beyond learning about planes, rockets and spaceships. The program will also look at topics like cars, and how they interact with air, and how drones have been used in agriculture and other industries.

Red Cross Elementary used a bookmark contest to help cultivate students’ love for reading. Kim Wyatt said this annual contest motivates students to design a bookmark with a theme that promotes reading.

After discussing potential safety issues, the Cave City Tourist and Convention Commission approved the new lights during its meeting in February. Commission director Jennifer McNett announced earlier this week during their regular meeting that the lights had been replaced. “The lighting in the parking lot is now complete and it looks amazing,” McNett said.
