The SS wanted a 100,000-person prison constructed in the Polish forest not far from the Vistula River. The water bureaucrat rejected the SS’s plan to dump wastewater in a river that would poison Germans down stream. Eventually, the SS succumbed to the whims of the Nazi deep state, and built them to last.
