1 Introduction Temperature, light and water availability influence leaf photosynthetic processes (e.g., Berry and Bjorkman 1980; Poorter et al. 2019; Wang et al. 2022), change biochemical reaction rates, regulate the secondary metabolic process (Qaderi, Martel, and Strugnell 2023), and impact primary productivity and carbon cycles in the ecosystem (e.g., Anderson-Teixeira et al. 2011; Poorter et al. 2019).
