A lot of attention has been put on Florian Wirtz, but another record-breaking transfer is close. The Reds have been incredibly busy in this early part of the summer and now that one transfer has been confirmed, another two are on the brink of being announced once their medicals are scheduled.

© IMAGO - Arne Slot Richard Hughes Liverpool FC Transfers 2024-25 It feels like every club in the world needs a striker and Liverpool are no different to the rest. Three years have past since Darwin Nunez arrived on Merseyside, and despite the fans' best wishes, the Uruguayan has failed to meet the standards expected of him and he'll likely move elsewhere.

Liverpool are in a bizarre situation with Luis Diaz where the club is unwilling to sell him unless a significant bid is made for him, meanwhile contract talks are almost non-existent at this point. Whether the Reds need a new left-winger all hinges on this saga and given the Saudi Pro League is interested in a potential move for the Colombian, all cards remain firmly on the table this summer.

© IMAGO While it's true that I might be a little too deep into the online Liverpool fan circles, it seems fair to claim that Richard Hughes was not a well received name throughout the first half of the season. The summer of 2024 involved incredibly little transfer window activity - Martin Zubimendi declined us on personal terms, and just Federico Chiesa came through the door. While Giorgi Mamardashvili was also signed, he was not set to arrive until 2025.

Adrian Holdstock, as 3rd umpire, must genuinely be blind. I'm convinced now. Hope's catch off Head yesterday was deemed "not-out" when it was clean. Today, a grounded catch from Carey off Hope is given "out" after the replays. 2 inconsistent calls going Aus' way 💀 #WIvAUS https://t.co/6elxask4qE

RT @SamMcGuire90: He's 28 with two years left on his contract. I don't think Liverpool, with Edwards involved, were ever going to triple hi…

Maybe my perspective on Test Cricket has been Bazballed, but Windies went boundary-less for 98 straight balls. The opportunity is there to take a first innings lead over Australia, but they aren't even trying to score runs. It's so frustrating to watch 🥲 #WIvAUS https://t.co/bauKfLE7dN
