Ontario Provincial Police continue to search for a suspect who allegedly discharged a firearm inside a Petawawa apartment building nearly two months ago. Police responded to reports of a firearm being discharged inside the hallway of the building on Wolfe Avenue at approximately 10:30 a.m. on March 22. No injuries were reported in the incident. The suspect was said to have fled the area in an unknown direction.

The National Capital Commission’s “Summer Zone” will return this year with a change in location. A floating dock that was installed earlier this month along the shoreline of Dows Lake across from Commissioner’s Park will become home to the attraction this year. “We expect to have lawn games, as well as food and beverage offerings near the dock’s location, across from Commissioner’s Park, beginning in June,” a spokesperson for the NCC said in an email to CTV News.

The Ottawa Police Service has laid charges against two novice drivers for stunt driving, including one who was allegedly going almost 80 km/h over the limit in the city’s east end last week. On Saturday, the East Neighbourhood Resource Team caught a G2 driver who was going 158 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Highway 174 at Jeanne D’Arc Boulevard, police said. Another was caught on Friday in the same location going 139 km/h.

Brockville police seized several imitation guns and drugs during a traffic stop earlier this week. Police say officers stopped a vehicle in the area of Stewart Boulevard at about 2:30 a.m. Monday. Open alcohol was found inside which led to search of the vehicle, police said in a news release Wednesday. Officers found substances believed to be methamphetamine, cocaine, crack cocaine, three pellet guns, scales and over $700 cash.

A 27-year-old Kingston, Ont. suspect is facing charges after allegedly threatening a local gas station with a fake gun cut from a plastic container. Kingston Police say the suspect attended a gas station in the area of Concession Street and Bath Road at approximately 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and was observed with what appeared to be a white handgun.
