WSH owns stock in OmegaQuant Analytics, a lab that offers blood fatty acid testing (including the Omega-3 Index) for researchers, clinicians, and consumers. The omega-3s decrease inflammation, the source of many chronic diseases. They thin the blood, helping prevent the blood clots that can cause heart attack and stroke. They slow down heart rate, reducing lifetime stress on the heart. And they make the membranes of brain cells more flexible, aiding cognition.

I, a sophisticated midwesterner, watch like this one: given to me by my mother was simply unimpressed and a little amused. You see, Wendell is from a couple of miles below the Ohio River and I’m from several miles above the Ohio River in the lap of culture.
