CEDAR RAPIDS — U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland met with local and federal law enforcement leaders here Tuesday, part of what he described as a strategy to strengthen partnerships across law enforcement. Following his appearance, the Department of Justice announced Garland will attend a National Night Out event in Urbandale, beginning at 5 p.m. in the front parking lot of the police department at 3740 86th St. and in an adjacent soccer field.
