Classes now have four Subclasses at level three, offering more variety. Species no longer have innate ability score bonuses, increasing customization. Background features replaced with Feats, each offering unique ability scores. The last update to the Dungeons & Dragons ruleset was in 2014, and it lingered for over ten years. Now we have the 2024 Player's Handbook, there are plenty of changes to the core to learn. But everyone wants to know how these changes affect character creation.
