On Saturday night (11/30), Daughtry kicked off their Adrenaline Gone Ballistic Holiday Tour at the Franklin Music Hall here in Philly, and there was a special tie-in with Camp Out For Hunger at this show. Proceeds from each ticket are adding to the Camp Out donation totals that’ll be going to Philabundance this year.

Jelly Roll has been on a tear in 2024, culminating in the release of his highly anticipated album Beautifully Broken. The 22-track collection is out today (10/11) and last week at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, we got a fiery preview of his latest genre-blending project. Twin Temple are doing the Dark Lord’s work of casting vintage charm over the “devil’s music,” with tales of Lucifer and sacrilege set to swingin’ doo-wop melodies. We saw them in Camden with Ghost, and they headlined Underground Arts in Philadelphia shortly after that. Now, two studio albums into their mission of putting “the fun in funeral” (tagline straight from their Instagram bio), they’re in the middle of a North American tour that stopped at Union Transfer this week.

Metallica have postponed their second show in Glendale, CA after frontman James Hetfield tested positive for COVID-19. The band’s M72 No Repeat Weekend Tour features two shows per city with totally different set lists on each of the dual nights. Metallica played night one in Glendale on Friday, with night two scheduled for Sunday 9/3. Now, that show will be moved back by a week. A post on their social channels shows Hetfield’s inked fingers next to a positive COVID test.

In a recent interview with WMMR Philadelphia, Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett reflected on the early days of the band, including a wild gig in the City of Brotherly Love.
