Writing About Women In Sickness and In HealthBy Nora GoldSince the publication on March 1st of my new book, In Sickness and In Health/Yom Kippur in a Gym (two novellas), many people have asked me why I chose to write one of the novellas about sickness. I point out to them that this novella is not only about sickness; it is also, as the title indicates, about health.

Embracing Magic By Jennifer MoormanMagic has long been used in fictional stories, often as a plot device to move the characters from here to there, to solve problems that are otherwise unsolvable, and to explain why and how events unfold in a particular story. Often magic is used in a way that’s not defined, meaning magic doesn’t have a limit and characters can do whatever the plot requires of them, no matter what. By Aurora AscherThis is the story of how I discovered my feminism through reading romance novels, and how that discovery ultimately led me to make writing them my career. By Yvonne RedigerI began as a writer creating short stories when I was thirteen. Fan fiction mostly, from various television shows I liked such as Star Trek. Also, some popular shows from back in the day I blush about now as they do not hold up over the course of time, but not much does unless it has good writing. In 2015 I first began thinking about what I’d do with myself after I retired from analyst work in the information technology world. It was an easy choice, I wanted to write full time.
