In this study, we retrospectively investigated the relationship between the TyG index and severity of DFUs in Southeast of China and revealed that the TyG index was significantly associated with the Wagner classification, independent of conventional diabetic foot risk factors, including age, gender, BMI, smoking, alcohol, PAD, duration of diabetes ≥ 10 years, HB, ALB, HbA1c, eGFR, TC, LDL-C, HDL-C.
