1 Introduction Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) is a potentially fatal neurological disease. Despite considerable treatment improvements over the past decades, mortality and disability rates for aSAH patients remain high [1, 2]. The reported mortality rate is 40%–45% at 30 days after bleeding and a third of the survivors have extracranial sequelae [3-5]. Besides, posttreatment cerebral infarction was strongly associated with poor outcomes.
