1 Introduction Hypertension, defined by a blood pressure of over 140/90 mmHg, impacts more than a quarter of the global population and significantly contributes to most cardiovascular diseases, such as atherosclerosis, heart failure, and stroke, which are the primary causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide [1].
