This pattern is generally observed in hyaline cartilage-containing tumors (e.g. enchondroma, chondrosarcoma)1,2This pattern is due to the enhancement of the capillaries arising from the septa and perichondrium around the lesions1.

    Ring-shaped lateral ventricular nodules (RSLVNs) are small nodular ring-shaped lesions attached generally to the ependyma of the roof and body of the lateral ventricles. They are incidental findings and are of no reported clinical significance 1. These nodules are rare and their prevalence is estimated between 0.023% and 0.45% 1,2. They are thought to be asymptomatic and are not expected to be of any practical or clinical significance 3.

    Fecal impaction is the inability to spontaneously evacuate solid feces. It is common in the elderly population. A severe form of fecal impaction is often referred to as a fecaloma. Fecal loading is a poorly defined term but generally refers to the volume of fecal material in the colon, it is often used synonymously with fecal impaction.
