EL CENTRO — Bringing dreams to life through art appeared to come naturally to the students of El Centro Elementary School District. The kindergarten through eighth-grade students showcased different media, such as watercolors, acrylic, markers, glass and musical performances. Students had been hard at work on their artworks throughout the school year and were able to see them on display on Wednesday, April 16, at Kennedy Middle School.

IMPERIAL — The Imperial City Council unanimously approved and adopted a sidewalk and maintenance program, which will implement standardized procedures for identifying sidewalk defects to minimize injury risk and maximize accessibility. The process to address any safety risks will include reports and photographs in order to ensure transparency, according to officials. The program was approved at the most recent council meeting on Wednesday, April 2.
