    A Florida man was arrested after he allegedly stole a T-shirt from a church thrift store — naked, according to a report. Fox 35 Orlando, citing an arrest affidavit, reported that Michael Da Costa, 38, was arrested last Wednesday at the Wings of Faith Thrift Store in Ocala, 75 miles northwest of Orlando. Deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office were called to respond to a report of a “naked man running around everywhere,” the affidavit reportedly says.

    Investigators said a woman from Michigan was on her phone for over 20 minutes while her 8-month-old child was drowning in the tub. Olivia Miller, according to jail records, was booked on Thursday on an involuntary manslaughter charge after her son drowned in a bathtub at their home in Nov. 2023. Local station WMMZ reported that emergency personnel responded to the Sparta Township home in eastern Michigan. When they arrived, they found the infant in the tub and pulled him out.

    A growing sinkhole in Philadelphia is scaring residents and drivers. CBS News Philadelphia reported that the sinkhole opened up in the neighborhood of Port Richmond last week. Since then, the crater has been increasing in size. “Pretty much been a mess for the past week,” Philly resident John Tanczak said, according to the station. The sinkhole has gotten so big that cars are starting to fall in. An SUV, for example, had to get towed out after it got stuck inside.

    The U.S. State Department on Friday upgraded its travel advisory for Americans planning trips to the Bahamas, as local police investigate a string of murders and other crimes. The advisory now stands at level 2, with the State Department urging would-be travelers to exercise increased caution in the area. “Gang-on-gang violence has resulted in a high homicide rate primarily affecting the local population,” the advisory says.
