1 INTRODUCTION Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is the most severe malignant tumour among oral cancers.1 Globally, Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) patients account for over 90% of all head and neck squamous cell carcinoma patients, and the mortality rate exceeds 50%.2, 3 OSCC is a multistep tumour that is usually asymptomatic in the early stages.
