A bar manager who has only completed two marathons is at the front of this year's London Marathon, as part of the elite field. Logan Smith, 27, from Cromer in Norfolk, will race alongside the best long-distance runners in the world in April - at what will be only his third marathon. He is no stranger to crossing the finish line first and Smith has won the Run Norwich 10km event three times.

A charity which provides furniture, flooring and appliances to those being helped out of homelessness has been nationally recognised for its work. The Hope at Home campaign, which is ran by the Norwich-based charity Hopestead, in Norfolk, were named the Homelessness project of the year at the UK Housing Awards. Over the last year, Hope at Home have helped 418 previously homeless people, including 154 children by providing essentials necessary to help them settle into their new homes.

A body found during a search for a missing man has been confirmed as that of Martyn Richardson, who disappeared in August. Mr Richardson, 27, was last seen leaving a family birthday party in Bocking, near Braintree, Essex, on 24 August. Essex Police was called on 16 November to an area of the waterway in Bocking after a body was discovered by a group of volunteers.

Football memorabilia that belonged to Sir Alf Ramsey - the manager of England's 1966 World Cup winning team - is set to go under the hammer. The suitcase of documents includes photographs of former England captain Bobby Moore, and scouting reports of players including then Manchester United boss Sir Matthew Busby and ex-Luton Town defender Sydney Owen.
