3. Results and Discussion 3.1. Synthesis and Characterization of Hapten and AntigenIt is known that the size of the immunogen is very important for obtaining high quality monoclonal antibodies [39]. The molecular weight of CBD is too low to induce a specific immune response. Therefore, CBD must be conjugated with a carrier protein to generate immunogenicity.
